Epona - Celtic Goddess of Horse, Goddess Art, is traditionally portrayed with a key, raven and cornucopia - symbols of bounty and blessing. During the Roman invasion of Britain the soldiers of the Roman Cavalry sought her protection.
Effigies of her were kept beside their horses in the stables and were carried in saddlebags, thus her popularity was spread throughout Europe into Africa.
Anne has had a passion for horses, dating back to the days when little all she wanted was a horse - but received a bicycle. That ardor was reawakened when she met her stepdaughter Naomi, who had the same obsession.
Through the sharing of this interest energy was directed three-dimensionally into the wonderful sculptures she now creates.
